Douglas Laboratories Ultra B-Complex Tablets This complex provides all of the essential B vitamins and related nutrients. B vitamins are not stored in the body in appreciable amounts with the exception of vitamin B-12. They are involved in most major metabolic reactions, so daily intake must be adequate to continue a proper supply for the body's needs. Thiamin, riboflavin and niacinamide are all essential in the production of energy. Vitamin B6 is needed for homocysteine metabolism and converting tryptophan into niacin. Biotin and pantothenic acid are necessary for the production of energy from dietary proteins, fats and carbohydrates.
